I got a infra gun to get true engine temps. On my Merc 5.7L running fresh water via a hose and muffs the starboard manifold has a water hose going from the center of engine (sorry for the ignorance) to the starboard manifold, where one isn't present on the port manifold. Does that make sense and is that standard?

The starboard manifold where the water hose is present registers temps at 2000 RPM of @195 where the port side manifold without the hose registers @155. The top of the starboard manifold hits @170 and the port @155.

I could not find the temp specs in my Merc manual. Does this sound right to you guys?

Can you post a smaller picture?

One manifold will always be cooler than the other so that is normal. The temps sound about right with 195 being slightly high.
