Hi Everyone, I just want to remind everyone about the dangers of not closing the center windshield of an open bow boat. Unfortunately, we lost our 23 year old daughter when she flew out over the front of an open bow boat on the Chesapeake Bay in 2020. They hit a sandbar hard while she was standing between the open glass section holding on to the frame, there was nothing to stop her. PLEASE close and latch the windshield before you push off the dock. Additionally, ALL passengers should remain seated while underway. Hannah's tragedy was compounded by an extreme low tide. Please check the tide charts before pushing off the dock AND before you depart on your return to the launch or dock.

Very sorry for your loss....looking a child is a horrible thing ! Most of these dangers can be stopped by following common sense safety rules, but everyone thinks it won't happen to them.........it until it does !
