I usually bite my coins in addition to the above.My quarter weighs 84.8 grains, the 10pence weighs 101 grains, thats what tiped me off, the quarter was .949 Dia. wheras the then pence was .965Dia. and the quarter was .063 thick and the tenpence was .073 thick. size was easy to miss with these feble old fingers, but the weight it was a dead givaway<br />
