OOPS Reply for the Anybody post

OOPS was suposed to be a reply to the dead horse question. People running a horse to death to either relay messages or whatever. At a certain point no matter how hard you hit/use a crop/spur a horse it does not have the energy to go any faster and at a certain point it can't go further and could in effect be run to death. What it means is continuing with what you are doing is futile and will not do any good.

Ah yes, insert flashback to some old movie I saw in the seventies. I always thought I knew what it meant, actually beating a dead horse and expecting it to move, but couldn't figure out how it came about. So really, it started out as "beating a horse that is already as good as dead, and soon will be."<br /><br />4 of my neighbors have horses, and none of them look like they've been running to hard, so I will sleep well tonight.
