OOPS! Now what?

Took the antifreeze plug out of the heat exchanger today to put some fresh thread sealer on it. Well in the process of this I snapped it off and lost all the antifreeze in my system. My question would be how do i refill the system without creating any air pockets?

Well, It's kind of hard to tell you how to fix something if we donn't even know what it is.

Anyways, when you refill with antifreeze, first you have to mix the antifreese with water first. Then be sure to have the front of the engine higher than the back and fill it up. That will prevent air bubbles from building in the back of the block.

Should i run the engine with the cap off fo a while after filling it or just fill it run it with the cap on and recheck after it has cooled?

It won't hurt a thing to leave the cap off at idle for a while as it warms up and starts circulating. Then you can see it go down and add more as it burps air bubbles.
