Hearing on the news about many towns along the Fraser river declaring a state of emergency. Are you and other iboats members in the area on high ground? How bad is the flooding?

Well the lake and rivers in the shuswap area have not crested yet and we have gotten torential down pours for the last 24 hours it seems.
That being said its some high water, another 3 foot give or take and it will be over the tracks in some spots, some lake and river front homes have water running through them.
The Okanogan were OOPs is does not fluctuate as much as the Shuswap lake does, but creeks are blasting over thier banks though.
But he will know better.

We left at 7 this morning and noticed the HWY was closed over in the next valley, got home to see this had happened, alll carp let loose and I mean big time!

Not only is the road closed there with the washout but the lake came up high enough to flood it 3 KM away, And HWY #1 is closed between Sicamous and Revelstoke due to another torential rain creek blow up.

This keeps up, we may be boating full time around here.

Well boaters, it looks as if our lake is within 6cm of the all time flood height.

We beat our record here in Nashville a couple years ago ... what a mess. Best wishes, and be careful!

Well, one thing Iowa has going for it this year is no worries about flooding.

Not sure how bad it is where rbh is located, i had water up to my doors andin my garage last night in florida. Could not leave my house cause the roads were underwater. Just south of me on Black Creek the roads are closed, the River set a record flood. Flood stage is 16' and it crested at over 24'6". I-10 is closed for over 55 miles and several bridges have washed out on US 301. I hope that you are not getting that kind of flood there rbh.

We have had alot of rain, torrential in places, coupled with a very deep snow pack that has waited till now to melt.
This has caused the rivers and lakes to crest late this year, as well as lots of landslides and creeks taking bridges out and shutting down HWYs.

(see the link post #3 I think, for the wash out just down the road from us)
