One week from today and Archery Deer season opens up this way! Anybody else getting pumped up? Or had any luck?

It opened up the 15th up here, it's great to be back in the trees again!!! Seen a few does and a spike buck, big daddy hasn't made his appearance yet. My brother missed a nice bear opening night, was directly below him (a 0 yard shot)-he had difficulty sleeping that night!

am getting deer fever already--however i only gun hunt---WI bow opened sept 13---9 day gun not till nov 22---oh boy-oh boy-oh boy---------<br />--hope you have a great hunt-

only hunt turkey/pheasant these days, but is deff.<br />the season! need a good frost so you can hear them<br />coming... even better, a lil snow removes the camo.<br />my 16yr old son was never int., but maybe me and<br />my 5yr old will bow hunt one day <br />good luck and SAFE hunting to all,<br />M.Y.

I am so fired up it's getting hard to sleep at night. This year I was lucky enough to be chosen #8 of 10 people to hunt/manage the deer herd for the university! Not only that, but it's been pretty slow at work, I was able to get the entire month of Oct off! ( without pay of course )that will be the hard part!

We are open Here but Ive only stole away twice, no luck but sure is nice to bee in the woods again. Actually I should be out right now as I have 2 hours but the wind is just howling here and I like the morn and eve hunt much better. I bought the all season tag here with a Managment tag so it allows me two does and a buck Archery rifle and muzzleloader and I hunt all three. We are allowed two more does but three should do me hopefully as 2 deer last year was not enoufgh venison. <br /><br />Question: why is it a Deer untill you process it and then it is Venison? Just Curious.

Been open for 3 1/2 weeks here. Have had a few opportunities but have passed so far. Heading west to the Dakota badlands on Friday to chase mulies and maybe pronghorns for a week. Hate to end the season too soon.

Just got back from a walk in the woods - kicked up a little fawn with spots, about 2 - 3 weeks old! Wet spring has lots of late births here. Hard to believe that little guy will be legal next week!
