i need to replace one piston and bore one cylinder<br />#1 & #3 still look like new<br />but #2 piston & cylinder are scored <br />would it be a bad idea to just bore #2 and replace just that piston <br /><br />or would that create too mutch vibration<br />thanks in advance

Do 1 and 3 still measure within spec?

i believe so <br />there is no lip at the top of the cylinders at all<br />don't think there is even 200 hrs on motor<br /><br />thanks for the post

Once you measure it you will know how many to bore. Your machine shop will measure it with a dial bore gage. Make sure you use someone who is familiar with outboard boring.<br /><br />Good luck!

If the rest measure within spec for standard bore there will be no ill effect in oversizing one piston.
