One of the plug wasn’t firing. Any damage?

My outboard gave out last weekend while on the lake due to corrosion on the wire harness. I replaced the harness along with the plugs and it started misfiring when I brought it back to the lake today. Took it home and realized one of the plug was damaged or defective which I found odd considering it being brand new. The tip was bent so there wasn’t any gap to create spark. Hope it wasn't caused by the piston smashing it. I Replaced the plug and now it’s running fine without any misfires. Inspected the plugs again and all seemed ok. I probably gave it about 10 mins total run time and wot at some point. (which was running ROUGH) My question is, can there be potential damage to my motor running without one of the cylinder firing?

The absolute first thing to do is a compression test.-----Post your numbers.----These motors are famous ( in my area ) for broken piston rings.
