All, I know there are plenty of you here that have celebrated this particular milestone and can relate.... My son Kyle is getting married this weekend. He was 15 when I joined this forum in 2002. He is 27 today, will be 28 in December. I wanted to share it.

Since I've been a part of the Iboats family, I've seen members come and leave for various reasons. I've been admonished be the supreme moderator JB, swapped stories and jokes with SpinnerBait Nut, told blonde jokes only to be put on Ms Ladyfish's list and I continue to make new friends here. There are those I feel that I know well but I've never met. InCoop in Arkansas stepped up and offered help when my sister-in-law in Little Rock had a life altering accident. I've never met the man but I intend to. There are those still here that saw my wife get diagnosed with cancer, go through chemo and become an eight year survivor, the passing of both my parents........Thank you all for being here and for the things you all have shared with the 'Family'.

Despite, what some say, we do become family, we care about each other! we rejoice on the good days and we shed tears together on the bad days, but never doubt, you have a family out there that you may never meet and the most important thing, is there are many fiends that pay attention to the days of your life, I am always comforted, when I have a situation and I post it here and read what my friends have to say about the situation, the advise offered is always appreciated.

Congratulations to your son and you, you raised him to become a responsible young man ready to start a new adventure in life, be proud Dad and don't partake to much bubbly, you really do want to remember this weekend!

Congratulations to the couple! Many, many happy returns.

And to you as well - parenting is one of the toughest, and most unappreciated tasks in human life. Yet, when done even just marginally well, it is one of the most rewarding and productive things anyone can accomplish. I hope you enjoy the next stage of life as you add a daughter to the family.

I hear ya and can echo your sentiments. I started in 2002 also and my kids were 5 & 6. Now they're in college and beginning their own lives. Life keeps transitioning no matter how hard my wife tries to add a half hitch to the apron strings. Good news is the iboats forum is always where you left it!
Congrats to you and the growing family!!!!

Angus, good to hear from you! judging from our post count it seems you and I are the typical 'Old Timers' with not much to say except when it suits us. I really shouldn't say 'Old Timers'......I meant 'LONG TIMERS'......LOL.

Hope you and yours are doing well.

Yeah, the cow bells......too bad Ms State lost to LSU Saturday night. That would have topped it off for them. Bailey's family are all Cajuns, both her parents went to LSU but both Kyle and Bailey graduated from MS State so they got em a little intra-family rivalry going on.
