We have a camper at the lake and I woke up early to head out to my favorite fishing holes and I noticed a fish and ski boat sitting by its self nestled against a patch of matted grass about 50 yards off the bank. There was a guy putting his boat in as I was taking rods, reels, battery to my boat slip I noticed a guy standing on another dock cupping his eyes looking toward the boat. I got my stuff loaded and I asked him if that was his boat and he said it was. I told him that I could troll him over to get it. As we were heading out the other guy that was putting in trolled over and grabbed the boat and met him halfway. The guy got in and of course he forgot his keys and he didn't have his battery for the trolling motor in his boat . The grass in the campground is heavy and you really have one lane that the boats have made to get in and out without tangled props. The guy only had a 6 ft. rope so I had to get mine and pitch it to him, I got him back to his side of the campground and finally get to head out.
On the way out of the campground cove I noticed my water pressure was really low, I looked back at my tell-tail and it was just a trickle. I immediately turned the engine off and used my trolling motor back to my slip. As I look to my right I see the guy that was putting in was was doing the same thing. I help him load his boat and both of our water pick-ups was stopped up with grass. Both of our day shot to crap because some idiot forgot to tie his boat off. The worst part was that I hurt my already bad back changing my impeller and was down for a week.
The same guy(idiot) was back this past weekend and I noticed he was having to wench his boat onto his trailer with his cowling off. I was going to help and I always help anyone that looks like they need it but I figured that I already helped him enough.
