Re: one cold riser

scallywag,

This is a good one. I'm assuming you are running this on muffs from the hose-with no load.

If that is the case, I can understand the one being relatively-cold.

The warm one means you are not getting proper water flow to it. Do you have any sharp bends in any of the hoses coming from the connections at the front of the engine?

Can you pull the hose going to the WARM riser and turn on the water to the muffs? If so, compare the flow to each side. Do this with the engine OFF.

If your warm side has less flow-start tracing backwards and looking for restrictions.

scallywag,

Sorry about the assumption!

Are you ingesting any water into the engine? Check oil and look at plugs. If the plugs are clean, you may be eating water.

The steam still points to a restriction on the warm side.

Re: one cold riser

scallywag,

That's really not that unusual. You have a lot of water flow going to those areas. However, compared to the other one, maybe not enough.
