I just finished installing a Teleflex Baystar Hydraulic Steering Setup on my '85 Ranger 340V BassBoat. My original rack & pinion, double cable steering needed replaced and after pricing everything at a little over $500, I decided to take a look at Hydraulic Steering. I found an online store with a sale of $453 for the Baystar Hydraulic Setup so I purchased it. I installed it today and my fishing buddy helped me bleed the system. We just got back from the most enjoyable boating trip I have ever had. This steering is just amazing. I now have "power steering on a bassboat". What will they think of next, a four slice toaster? From now on, this will be the first upgrade to every boat I own in the future. I am just ecstatic.

Starting with the intention to replace a double cabled system is good money and you went to hydraulic ;) Good choice !

Yes many people do not want to invest the money but hands down the hydraulic works real nice.
