Omc Water Pump Adaptor

I Need Help To Get My Water Pump Adaptor Off My 89 Omc Stern Drive. I Took Water Pump Off And Found Adaptor Corroded.im Going To Get A New Adaptor But Having A Hard Time Geting It Off. And Sry If I Posted Wrong This Is My First Time

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,... That's a pretty good 1st post,.. But,....
Sry means absolutely Nothing here,... This is a forum,..
We type out Complete Words,+ Hopefully with sentences,+ paragraphs...

There's a pretty good chance, that if your drive is That Corroded,...
It just Ain't coming apart....
The common term for severely Corroded aluminum is Scrap...

Thank you Don. It doeset look that bad I have seen alot worse but there Is some.What do you think about drilling and taping some holes in the adaptor and using a slide hammer.

thank you don. It isent that bad but there is some. I think i will try to drill and tap adaptor and use a slide hammer to get it out.

I think it is the part under the water pump plate that seals the water pump shaft coming out of the upper gear housing.There is 2 bolts holding it in and has a gasket under it with a o ring sealing the outer part. it is # 45 in pic

I had the same issue on the Cobra drive i used to own..
Soaked it really good with PB Blaster and kept tapping it with a hammer.
It finally popped loose..the corrosion where the outer o-ring is was the cause.

Well it finly came off after about 3 hrs of working at it.I used a bolt grip puller set i needed to drill and tap some holes but with some time and a few taps with a hammer it came loose.now i will get a new adaptor and water pump.Thank you for helping with my first post
