hi got a sunbird 208 with omc 4.3 been runing bit rough so fitted new points & condenser they where shot and tryed to set timing with strobe miles out half a pully any way got it running went out ran great then started to run rough again so came back in turned it off tryed to start wouldnt turn over left it and still wouldnt turn over then she went no smoke sounded fine looked near dizi creamy oil drip pulled of oil filler cap water in oil not been ran much this year and did pop core plugs in winter i was a mechanic a long time ago cars and wagons not boats if it was a car i would say head gasket any offers to put me on the right path and is it a bad job looks like a car engine with big exaust manifolds ?
also was over heating befor at normal run 2500 revs but with 5 mph speed limit never botherd us i traced this to impeler seized done that worked no probs till today can anyone help
also foward & reverse are a cow somtimes im new to boats so no idea how or what to do although if im told i will sort it just need a bit of direction thanks rich
