"OMC type M adhesive" equivalent or alternative?

...I am preparing to re-install my Volvo SX outdrive back on the boat. I purchased a new O-ring water passage seal and am about to install it in the pivot housing face. My manual tells me to use " OMC type M adhesive" to lightly glue it in position. I live in a small town and don't have immediate access to this wonderful stuff. Can anyone recommend an alternative to the above mentioned product that could be purchased at an auto parts store such as NAPA??

3M weatherstrip adhesive is what I shops use.

...thx. muc weatherstrip adhesive is definitely something I have access too. Can anyone second mucs suggestion??
