have an 89 johnson 150 gt, tilt/trim works good but i can't get the gauge to work.. it stays in the down position.. i tried to play with the sending unit but couldn't find anything... what should i look for/at?
I wish I could help. Last year my 1992 Johnson 100HP did the same thing. I must have gone over the wiring 10 times and could find nothing. Then this year is has worked perfectly. I dunno what happened.
My '90 does this fairly often. It's always the send unit lever being stuck. Try spraying it with WD-40 and wiggling it to loosen it up. Hope it's this simple on yours, too.
