I have an old Sunray 15ft Bowrider with a 70 Johnson.<br /><br />I took the OMC apart and I also took of the cover for my motor and noticed that when I pull the cable manually the way the throttle should that it does engage on the engine. Will it make a diff. If I power it up. What happened as per my previous post is that when I engaged the throttle it was locked in Neutral at idle on low rev. not sure where to go furhter. I will definately lubricate the cable inside the OMC when I get home tonight, any suggestions on what type of Oil/lubricant should be used for something like this? Origianl prob. is that I could not engage the throttle at all but FUNNY enough when I engage it apart the same wasy as it should it work fine? must be something stuck.... Thanks for the help on this one.
