I have a 210hp electric shift powered by a chevy 350. The engine is currently hard mounted to the stringers. I am looking into installing a selec-trim unit. any suggestions on what i should look for?

the electric model vs the hydraulic.?
do the rear engine mounts need to be changed as well?

I am also looking at changng the stering to add the true course steeringand remove the current setup.

Any thoughts or reccomendations here?

Re: OMC Stringer

The Selectrim system varied from year and model. Some used a motor driven jack. Some used hydraulic rams. The first thing is to determine what you need. Second thing is to try and find the parts. EBay or a junk yard is a bout your only choice.

The rear mounts are stationary. The bellhousing rides on the two rubber bushing of the mounts.

IMO, I would nix the idea. Save the $ towards another newer boat.
