I have a '76 OMC Stringer 190 HP with a leaky transom seal. The boat is a 1978 Reinell C26.<br /><br />When I pull it out to replace the "boot" what other maintenance should be done?<br /><br />Refill lower unit gear lube?<br />Is there a gimbal bearing or other parts to check between the outdrive and engine?<br /><br />This boat is kept in a marina and might not be hauled out again for a year.<br /><br />From past posts I was told I should check if the boat is water-logged. How is this done? Do I drill into every compartment and look for water or what?<br /><br />Thanks for all your help.
