OMC SeaDrive 2.7

I am trying to find out year/HP of this motor. The only model # I can find is located on the bracket itself, and is 984609.

Accroding to my OMC model number reference guide, the 2.7 Litre Seadrive is only listed as a 1987 There are two model numbers available, 27APPH or 27ASPH. Both are 1987 vintage.

Titan..... There should be a plate containing the model and serial number etc inside the lower hood pan on the port side.

Thanks for the replies. I will try to find the plate under the hood. (It's 10 degrees outside right now) Can anyone tell me what the HP is? I was told it was probably a 225.

I found the plate under the hood- model #27ASPHD. Anyone know the horsepower?
