OMC part # needed......

[Fouled Plug]

Have an Evinrude 6 horse that needs a water pump kit (with housing). Model is 6905E, serial #J0001558. If someone can find the OMC part number of the kit, and perhaps tell me the year of this old eggbeater I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

hey fouledplug it's a 1979 the rest i don't have a clue. Check out this site for model id's for johnson/evinrude. http://www.evinrude.com/evinrudehome.htm <br /><br />------------------<br />no replacement for displacement!

You should have heard him whine...Ha, Ha, Ha!!!<br /><br />Your Evin is 6 hp Model 6905 is 1979 model<br /><br />Does not show repair kit as such but impeller is Sierra # 18-3090 / OMC OE # 387361.<br /><br />If you need part, call them @ 615.832.0800 ask for Gary, Tommy or Jeff... I think the omc # is 391391.

That number is from the OMC catalog and includes the housing and seals.
