omc out drive swap with merc out drive

I have a in line 4 cly omc [chev] engine with a stringer out drive a friend of mine has a merc 6 cly with the out drive would the out drive fit on my engine the six would be to much for my pontoon [ weight wise] I know that it would be a lot of work but I have time

I've got no clue about marrying up the drive to the block itself, but you'll have a big hole to deal with ... plus re-mounting the motor.
