I have a 1993 22' openbow fourwinns with an OMC 5.0L multiport efi engine(chevy block). I put it in Sodus bay this past weekend and I started to experience the boat slowing down and then going again. The temp gauge was high and there was some smoke coming out of the back of the boat. I stopped and turned the boat off, raised the stern drive and check to see that everthng was ok. Looked fine. fished for a little while and started her up again after running the blower for several minutes. The engine hesitated but then goes again for a second time. fished a while more and then took her in to the dock. It seemed to run fine that time. Any ideas as to what might be going on? All ideas welcome and thanks in advance from a greenhorn to the boat ownership world.
