THE ONLY PROPER WAY is to pull the bearing carrier. I would not just reseal the propshaft... unless you chewed it up with fishing line or something and you know the other seals are good. There is an O-ring arond the bearing carrier that can fail as well as bolt seals. <br /><br />Replacement of the driveshaft seals requires pulling the drive and separating the upper from the lower unit.
prop off, brg carrier bolts out... brg carrier puller.<br />also a #7 snap ring pliers, so you can pull the plate out behind the brg carrier to clean the oring seal area down in the hsg.
