Omc Lower Unit Knock

I have a 1994 200 Johnson with a lower unit knock when in gear and at idle fwd or rev.The knock goes away when throtle is moved up. The impeller and prop shaft seals were recently replaced. any ideas?

Was there water in the lower unit?if there was it could have "flatsided" a bearing or a couple do from lack of lube which will give it a knocking sound

A prop with a blade out of shape can make the propshaft ratttle by working it in and out of its freeplay. When you rev it up some, the increased thrust holds the propshaft in place. Even new props can do this. Try a different one.<br /><br />Grap the prop or propshaft and push and pull on it, the propshaft should make the same noise that you hear in the water.
