Omc impeller direction

Can some please tell me which way the impeller turns. I what to make sure i have the little rubber "ears" going the right way. I forget to look when i took the other one out. Will it hurt it if they are in the wrong way or will it turn it self the right way<br /><br />Please tell me as if i was looking at the installed impeller in the outdrive like as before i start it<br /><br />Sorry just which way does the shaft turn as you are looking at it. <br /><br />thanks

It don't matter. It will right itself. By the way, next time u post, let us know yr. of engine, drive u have etc. We're not mind readers.

It turns clockwise.... same direction as your engine.

whatever way you put it in there, the engine will right them the correct way when it cranks over.

That's not really the proper procedure. You risk damage to veigns.
