OMC cowling question

Does anyone know if the v4 and v6 crossflow hoods are the same size in width. I know the v6 hood is taller. I am concerned with the width. I have an 87 v4 with a cracked and in bad shape hood and i can get a v6 crossflow cowling sent to me free. Just wondering if the width is the same to fit. I know that the looper cowlings are interchangable. My neighbor has an 88 200 hood on his 90 model 140.

The "looper" cowlings are interchangeable. V-4 and V6.<br /><br />I believe the "crossflows" are the same.
