easiest way to get the studs out is to use the old coupler nuts, screw the first one on bacwards,flage facing you about an inch, then thread the other on, jam the two together tightly with 2 wrenches.
use the inner nut to back out the stud, intallation is reverse but I also add some loc-tite and a torque wrench.
NEVER reuse the coupler nuts.
