Re: OMC/Cobra trim sensor
The last time I was able to find one, I had gone on the Bombardier website and gotten the names of dealers that may have had them in stock. I was able to find one by calling around, but I really don't think they are available, unless there a few still out there. I'd like to know what meter is inside it so I can take my old one apart and see if you can just replace the potentiometer inside.
As far as trimming, with the gauge working, I made note of how long it takes to trim the drive up 1/2 way for shallow water running and for optimal trim angle. I found it takes about 6 sec to go 1/2 up and about 3 sec to trim for running. So time yours and just count one thousand one, one thousand two etc. Those sensors only last about a season or two in salt water anyway.
