OMC Cobra outdrive replace with Merc or Volv

I have a 19.5 1994 Four Winns 5.0 I/O OMC Cobra runs great currently but I want to replace outdrive this winter with a Merc or Volva, Does anyone know if THIS IS POSSIBLE? what one would be better?

SEI have a conversion kit from omc to SE116 (Gen II version)

You should post a picture of your drive. Some 1994 drives were the Volvo joint venture drive. Do you know where your raw water pump is located?
