OMC Cobra HU model

I have a 1995 OMC Cobra vertical drive in which I would like to start checking my own fluid levels in. Is there a single place to check the fluid in the drive unit. Also I am under the impression that the upper and lower units share oil, is this correct?

This should be posted in the inboard forum, but in answering your question, yes the upper and lower share oil. The plug/dipstick on top of the upper housing is where you check oil level, and you drain entire drive from plug on bottom of lower unit.
