I have question about the exhaust bellow on a 1991 4.3 lit.Cobra.I have never seen one new so I don't know what they are supposed to look like.I bought this boat last year.I was looking at the bellows from undeer drive. The exhaust has slots cut in the bottom of each rib. They are perfect cut slots. Is this normal for the exhaust bellow. They are not tears are cracks.<br />Thanks

Re: OMC Cobra Bellows

Permits exhust to relief from this area (at idle) rather than ALL the way to the prop. Consider it "idle relief holes". At higher rpms, these slits don't really come into play and the exhust is "sucked" out of the prop area.
