OMC Cobra 3.0 engine specs

Hi,
Brand new to the forum and to boating. We just bought a Bayliner Capri with an OMC Cobra 3.0 engine. We were wondering if anyone would have the specs for the engine as we have no manual, but plan on getting one. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello and welcome aboard. What year is your Cobra? If you haven't already, you are about to learn about the challenges of owning an (obsolete) OMC sterndrive. The good news is, you've found an excellent site for advice on the subject. A word of advice when you buy a manual... get a genuine OMC manual, not a Clymer or Seloc (you're gonna need it). I'd also recommend you find a parts manual if you can. eBay is a good place to look.

Specs?? What are you looking for??
The most important theing you need to do!!!! The outdrive needs to be filled from the side.NOT The bottom like most drives.If you don't you will destroy the upper gear set.There is an oil passage that won't fill from the bottom.J
