I have a 5.0 OMC that came stock on a 1989 Bayliner. After running it for like thirty minutes today it just stopped running. I was idling when it happened. It took me about five minutes to get it to crank again. It ran fine then it cut off again, this time I was running about 20 MPH. Same thing again, I had to wait about 5-10 minutes before it would crank. This happened about three times before I finally decided to get off of the lake. After the first time, it happened about every 5-10 minutes. Could this be bad spark plugs? Do plugs the are worn out fail after getting warm?
