Anyone know where I can find a cooling diagram for my OMC 460? its in a 1989 Bayliner 2755. I have a leak somewhere and cannot find it. I can hear it and running on the hose the hull takes on water. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ayuh,... If you can Hear it, you can Find it,.... Lookin' is the only way to do that....
Use mirrors, cameras, Whatever to See where it is,... You may have to take the boat apart...

Did it get Cold where it was this winter,..??

Hopefully you didn't freeze damage anything like the exhaust manifolds because they are not available anymore. Cross your fingers and pray it is something simple like the power steering cooler. But as said eyeballin it is the only real way to tell, even if it means standing on your head in the bilge!

Howdy,

If you left the plugs in then your PS and oil coolers are probably broken.

If there was ANY water in those manifolds, they'll probably be cracked at the bottom.

The block sometimes cracks under the intake manifold close to the lifters.......

My 460 cracked on the outside when my brother didn't drain it in the 90's (SF Bay Area.........It never freezes there does it?)

He was lucky....His insurance company replaced the engine, manifolds etc......

If you cracked the block, manifolds, etc.....plan on either parting out the boat or replacing the whole mess with a Volvo Or Mercruiser complete engine/drive setup... It won't be worth trying to replace the engine and manifolds with another 460...............

Sorry about that.....
