I just wondered in and seen this forum. It looks very informative so I thought I would get a question in.
I am looking at a 1988 Bayliner capri with a 3.0 OMC/Cobra outdrive. This boat is owned by a retired individual and he uses it solely for cruising and has never used it for skiing. I like to Slalom and would use the boat for this if I got it. The motor is rated a 130hp, I would think that would be plenty for me to ski behind, but could I take 2-3 people in the boat and ski? Any and all feedback would be appreciated, I really do not know much about the inboards.
Thanks!!
Jay

Re: OMC 3.0??

Hey....THANKS!! That is all I want. It will be my first boat, and heck no, never been behind a mastercraft, no competition skier here, I am use to skiing the most behind an old sea-king with a 65hp Evinrude!! LMAO! I have skied behind my other friends Lund and that has a 150 outboard mariner that will pull your arms off, I know it will not be that! I just want to go to the lake and play, and that will include a little bit of Slaloming. I want to start my kids out also, I did not learn until in my 20's and I love it!
So, thanks again, I believe this boat will be just fine.
Jason
