OMC 190 engine, 8 cyl ( around 1977)

I am looking for an engine to fir a 1977 Reinell. It is a stern drive, 8 cyl OMC 190. The model # on the engine is 990220R2, and the serial is W423136. If anyone knows of one, or has one for sale, please let meknow. Balao:<br />If you have the same 190 I have in my 76 Galaxie it is a 5.0 Ford. I am sure there are plenty of late model Mustangs around in WI. If you wanted to get on the water real soon, I would check the local paper and junkyards. Here in CA you can pick up a Fuel Injected 5.0 for less than $500. You put your intake and exhaust on there and you have at least 190 out of that motor. I know alot of people wouldn't even think about using a motor from a car, but if your boat is in fresh water all the time it is just like having it in a car. Those late model Mustang motors will turn 5000 rpm all day long, which is the only other thing I have heard people worry about.<br /><br />Al...
