My neighbor has an older tohatsu 40 hp. He is in the process of replacing some faulty parts. He found that the starter solenoid is faulty (starter appears to be o.k.). The solenoid is a Hitachi Model A104-123 but I have been unable to locate this item. It would also help to determine the exact age of the motor but the id plate that is supposed to be on the mounting plate is missing. Does anyone know where I can find the solenoid or another method of determining the exact age/model of the motor. Thanks in advance for any help. Jeff
