older chrysler drives

A friend told me he has an older boat with a chrysler outdrive and it has two speeds,,I never heard of this before,did Chrysler make a two speed outdrive?

I never heard of it...So I googled up some very cool reading on Chrysler boats..
I did not know that they acquired Lonestar, for example..
Sadly I did not see any mention of your 2 speed OD question, but it is such a good read others may enjoy as well..

Ayuh,... I don't recaleck a 2sp Chrysler either,...

They build quite a few drives back in the 60s,.. I've got a pair of Danas on my houseboat,...

Marysville Marine in Michigan carries most of the parts for most of the Chrysler/ Dana drives,+ the motors that powered 'em....
They have some awesome searchable data bases for the parts,..Lot'sa Great pictures,...

It wouldn't surprise me to find out they ran a transmission like the Merc/ TRS drives....
