I first have to say what a great BBthis is.Two problems found two problems solved so far. #3, I have an old tilt trailer. It has 9 inch wheels on it no lugs, one single nut with bearings inside wheel. I can find no marina who has them. Can anyone direct me please,or else its a whole new axle.

Thankyou

Re: old wheels

Hey Medic,

If you can't get replacement parts or tires and what you have are old or in need of repair probably the easiest and safest thing would be to replace the hubs completely. More than likely with a small trailer you have a 1" axle, you can buy hub kits from Cabela's. The kits come with everything: hubs, lugs, bearings, seals, lug-nuts, hub-caps the works. All for 30.00 to 35.00 per kit. Of course you’ll need tires and rims. They are relatively inexpensive as well.

First are you sure they are 9" and not 8" or the very little used 10", most jump to 12". I don’t recall ever seeing a 9" tire or rim (doesn’t mean they don’t exist). Even if they were 9" you can go with 8" it's a very common size for smaller trailers. You might even get away with 12" if you have the fender space and if they otherwise fit the trailer.

Check Cabela’s they have everything you need, you could get away with all new safe wheels for less than 175.00 bux. Nothing feels better ridin down the road knowing the boats tied down good and the wheels and bearings are safe.

Good luck with it!
;)
