I have what I believe is a 1965 Cobia sea queen. It has a Volvo Penta motor. I was told it is a 100hp motor. I have research and can not find a model number of the motor. It may be a AQ100 or BB100. Its a single carb inboard. Anybody have a clue of what it is?? The sterndrive says model LPZ. It needs head gasket and water cooler housing for the oil filter replaced. Where can I get these parts??

Re: Old volvo penta motor??

Welcome to iboats.
The AQ series is the I/O and BB is inboard. If you have an outdrive, its an AQ.

go to this link and fill out the info as best you can and do some looking. There are brochures and owners manuals available to view and download. Maybe you can identify you motor that way.

Also, on some engines, there is a small tag just in front of the starter that has the model printed on it. Wouldn't that be nice...
