pre 87 motors are provided with a shear pin.I believe Nissan/Tohatsu are the same I would think a dealer would have nuts.If not perhaps a metric castle nut from the hardware.Not likely to find brass or stainless but if not left in the water a coating of grease on threads and nut attended to regularly should work.You'll need a cotter pin to hold the nut in place.
