old merc year?

Serial Number 4845439. I just need to confirm, I believe it is a 1977. It is a 150hp inline 6. Powerhead is painted black and I thought all of the older ones were not painted. It has blue decals and are different than any I have seen before. It is modified with a racing lower unit and exhaust ported thru the mid section. Any help would be appreciated.

dang, thats weird, you replied to my thread, and just a minute ago it was the other guys question with my topic on it. It must have crossed paths somehow hooty.
