This past August after I retired I bought a new pontoon (24 ft) Avalon (formerly Playbouy).Very nice boat and a 90 hp 2 stroke Mercury and a rollon bunk trailer all brand new. I had it in the water 10 times max. I did all the service for winter that was in the book and stored it inside. In about 3 weeks it will come out is there anything special I should do to get it ready for the boating season along with what the manual says. This the first boat I have had in 40 years and it needs to last. I have been reading this iboats forum for the last 3 years and it was very big help in finding what kind of boat I wanted and reading all of the help you give is outstanding keep up the good work.

Follow the manual like a bible as long as you are under warranty. You may even inquire to you local dealer about the cost of a spring commissioning. It will be less than the winterize that you already saved on and it will start a relationship with the dealer in case you ever have a warranty type of problem. There are many posts here on spring commissioning,do a search.Welcome to iboats and congrats on the new boat and even more so on the retirement!!!Charlie
