Old Honda 4-stroke 10hp What Year?

Hi all, freind of mine let me tried his B100 Honda outboard, he has this motor sits in the barn for number of years. There is no owner manual, the only thinb I know is a serial number B100-203480. Does anyone have an ideal of what year this motor is? and how much is weight? Thanks in advance. Skeepyjack

Hi , I have the same motor it sounds like. I don't even have a SN. It is a BF 100. I am in the process of replaceing the water pump. I had to break the pump housing to get it a part. The shaft is coroded beyond repair. I will have about Four hundred in it when I am done. I don't know how heavy it is but it's like packing around a hunk of lead.

I wish i could help you Skeepyjack, but I am curious also. I picked up bascially for free a Honda 10HP 4 stroke and would like that information as well. My serial number is B100 1012228. I know the Johnson motors through their forum here, can cross reference the numbers for a year made. Any help from you guys would be much appreciated......L
