old Fisherman prop question

My 1957 'rude Fisherman 5.5hp runs great, and pushes my little 12 foot aluminum pram between 15-17 mph GPS with just me in the boat. Would replacing the stock 2blade prop with a 3blade make it go any faster? Can you get a 3blade for this engine? Just curious and would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Yes there were 3 blade props available. I imagine a person might find one. No, it will not make a difference worth noting. Were you looking for more hole shot from your 5.5?

Thanks for the reply Alcan. No, the hole shot is fine <g> actually jumps up on plane real fast! Just wondering if there was any more top speed in the old girl that's all. Doesn't sound like changing props is worth the effort, so I'll leave it alone.
