From the OLD OMC SITE <br /><br />Those were the first models of a great line of engines - the Johnny/Rude 3 or 4hp engines. They were still building essentialy the same engine in the early eighties, when they finally redesigned. They were hugely sucessful. And speaking from experience, the weedless lower unit design works quite well! Parts are available everywhere. If it's got half-decent compression, it's worth fixing up.<br /><br />
