Im just wondering if anyone knows of some good ways to clean my toons. They have that old dingy look to them. Not realy pitted or anything just a bunch of spots allover and needing some paint on the bottom. I want to get them clean when I paint.

We use aluminum brightener like they use to clean tankers with. It works great and with little effort they will look brand new.

Toon Brite is good. I've heard several recommend coil cleaner. I've never used it personally but can imagine that it would work really well but could cause problems if not used correctly; improper dilution, left on too long, etc. It would be more cost effective than Toon Brite.

I have heard that JJV's is good but I have never been able to find any except online. Our Gander Mountain, Bass Pro Shop, and even the Overton's catalog do not have it.

I just ordered it directly from JJV's when I got mine. It was a reasonable shipment cost and it was very fast delivery. Also the lady was very nice :)

Check with your local Marina's. Also the JJV's web site has a store search.
