No sure what in that article was about global warming specifically.

In any event, if I understand correctly, there is a global diabolic conspiracy among the entire scientific community, and in order to get the truth about science, we should consult right wing political idealogues, who coincidentally have a vested interest in the conclusions of that very science.

It's starting to make sense to me finally!

Global warming is a fact.So is limestone erosion.Neither pose an immediate or near future threat on the lifespan chart of humanity.I say that the rhetoric about either should escalate in proportion to the progression rate.There are more urgent items that need to be addressed before we throw up these 'sky is falling' smokescreens.The state of social security and the national trade deficit would be a good start.This modern day global warming hype reminds me of the early seventies when we were all going to eventually fall prey to killer bees.

And just what exactly do you base that conclusion on, I'm curious? There is all sorts of evidence of problems and potential problems, from beetle killed trees in British Columbia, to reduced ocean fisheries, to who knows what else.
I'm real glad you feel confident in betting my children's future on your hope.
I have no idea what the total potential risks are with global warming, but the very fact we can do something about it is reason enough to do something about it.

What are you doing about global warming?

Did you sell your engine and buy a sail?
Do you pedal to work?

I have a better idea PW.Since you feel unmoveably certain of the causes of beetle infested trees and reduced ocean fishery returns ,suppose you enlighten us on some direct evidence that you seem to posess as to the correlation of ozone based emmisions as it is directly related to your trees and fish theory. In your own words above you state that you have "no" idea on the (and strategically inserted) "total" potential risks of global warming.In other words ,you also have no idea whether your childrens quality of life will 'be' negatively effected by human induced global warming.What are your recommendations on escaping the next sun flare,meteor strike,or catastrophic earthquake?Or should we just spend every dime we don 't really even possess chasing a remedy for something that the scientific community can't agree on?
